Are you ready to work with me?

  • A confidence issue has kept you from stepping into the ‘major leagues’ in your career
    success or business growth.

  • You know that your current career (or personal relationship) situation is no longer right for you, yet you are stuck defining or taking action on your next step. You want to expedite the process of being in your next career/life chapter.

  • You have outward success without feelings of inner satisfaction.

  • Caught up in daily life, you’ve drifted away from your aspirations, and are stressed, just
‘going through the motions’, or spinning your wheels in work or relationships. You want to take charge of your life, get clear, and have more enjoyment.

“A life changing experience, much more impactful than other coaching I’ve had”
Cathy Mauer, Partner KPMG

How you ‘get in your own way’:

When individuals come to work with me it is often because they have had a “way” of approaching their work and personal relationships that has gotten them to their current level of (often substantial) success; however, continuing in the same career path or in their same characteristic “way” will not yield having it all — a career situation that is lucrative yet also satisfying, and personal relationships that have ease and fulfillment. A variation on the 80 – 20 rule says “success is 80% psychology, 20% mechanics”. When people want to make a change in their career or personal effectiveness, most
try to change their “mechanics”, such as habits, communication, job search tactics, etc. I help you create momentum in your “psychology” — starting with a deep sense of confidence, clarity, and self trust — so that your implementation of “mechanics” puts you on a fast and stress – free route to the results you want.

If you are “getting in your own way”, what that means is that without realizing it you often think, feel, and act in ways that are not in the service of ‘who you want to be’, nor in the service of the results you want for your career and life. You may doubt, pressure, or criticize yourself. Fear, guilt, or anger may block your moving forward. Characteristic behaviors may include, among many others:

  • spending energy helping others rather than crossing your finish line

  • procrastinating or being indecisive

  • "overachieving" to prove your competence

  • pressuring yourself to be perfect at cost to you

  • avoiding difficult situations

  • wasting time on "busy work" instead of big picture solutions

  • repeating patterns that make you feel trapped in your current circumstance

The process I guide you through will reprogram your mind and your behavior patterns for external successes and internal satisfaction.

What I do: The Direct Path process

Through a series of structured discussions and exercises, I help you understand how and why you do what you do now, and give you a step by step program for how to do it differently. From 10 years of research at Harvard Medical School and work with other successful people, I have developed a process that will systematically dismantle your roadblocks and provide you with a toolkit of skills to achieve your highest aspiration for yourself.

Within 90 days, you will have the following:

  • Confidence to pursue your highest goals and a feeling that you are "enough".

  • Clarity about your next steps and the ability to focus on their achievement

  • Ability to make quick and effective decisions in situations at the micro level
(how to handle difficult situations) and the macro level (the right next career move)

  • Efficient use of your time, not wasting time and energy on tangential tasks

  • Improved self – management: less reactive, more poised under stress

  • Satisfying relationship communication; acceptance of and influence over others

  • Experience that you are “in control” of your life

A key aspect of the process is that it equips you to be less concerned about “what others think” and teaches you how to find what you need not so much from others, but in yourself. You build a strong positive conviction about who you are and what you want. In short, working from the inside – out, the process accelerates your ability to “be who you want to be” so that your efforts begin to yield the results you want for your career and life.

“Your process is life altering at the foundation, and the transformation happens fast. It shows how you’ve developed an adaptation to external circumstances that affects every area of your life. Then you get a chest of tools to move forward and be different. It makes you much more effective in your job, reduces your stress, and brings you happiness and satisfaction in your life. Your process cuts through the noise and clutter. It’s not a band – aid, everything has changed for me and the changes get better over time. The ROI is huge!"
Ranaan Miller, CTO, Sionex Corp.

The Direct Path process is fast, sustainable, and guaranteed!

Because the process is based on deeper psychological principles and customized to your unique circumstances, you will undergo a rapid transformation and make changes in the short term. Because the process helps you make changes at the root cause of your obstacles and maintenance skills are built – in, the results are sustained for the long term. Given the strong track record of this process for guiding people to achieve personal and career effectiveness, your work with me comes with a guarantee.

“A spectacular experience! You immediately grasp what is going on at a deeper level. You have an arsenal of painless, quick, and powerful strategies to get the person unstuck and feeling confident — to see the situation clearly and to be “ in their power”. It’s as dramatically effective as if the client is given Batman’s “utility belt” — clever, handy tools to respond to any conceivable challenge in a balanced, constructive way. Every single time we talk it’s extremely productive.”
Judy M., Attorney

“One of the most powerful experiences of my whole life... Like a construction project, we took down the roadblocks piece by piece to clear the way for me — to get this next career move I’am wildly excited about, improve the way I manage other people, and grow my relationship leaps and bounds to the point of marriage. I learned so much about myself — this experience had a HUGE positive impact on my life."
Beth R., Fidelity

Prior clients have achieved high – impact results
in the 3 – 12 months after coaching, including:

Revenue Growth

Senior Partner at an executive search firm “meets expectations” in 2005. She began coaching in January, and doubled her total 2005 revenue in the first 6 months of 2006. This tremendous growth resulted from improved leadership and a newfound feeling that she deserves a “seat at the table” with her high level clients.
Vice President of Sales at UBS Financial lacked a coherent team and was failing to develop business. He grew the business 40% in the first year after coaching. “By streamlining my team’s business practices, I went from ‘good’ to ‘great’...and fast!”

Leadership and Innovation
Partner at Big 4 consulting firm was marginalized by a corporate merger. She bounced back with maximum confidence and within a year started a new line of business. This business quickly became the most profitable service line in the Southeast region. She reports she “made practical changes in behavior, is now more confident than ever and influential in the firm.“

Young Chief Technology Officer of a start-up company was a weak voice on the senior management team. He developed a clear technology vision that enabled profitable partnerships in priority areas. When the company was at a make-or-break juncture one year later, he successfully influenced the management team and the Board to take a strategic direction that prevented the company’s dissolution. He reports being “more decisive, more effective, more self trusting – and having more fun at work.”

Vice President at Oracle employed training for group and coaching of key contributors. Within weeks, reports that “productivity, morale, and team performance are at all-time high levels.”
